Cub Scout Hiking worksheet

The PDF document referenced in this article is named "Cub Scout Hiking.pdf", but the text of the document contains Flag Football worksheet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Victorgress (talkcontribs) 17:21, March 16, 2010. (Please, sign and date your posts on talk pages.)

I have e-mailed the author of the worksheet(s) and asked him for an update, if possible. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 18:46, March 17, 2010 (EDT)
It's now the end of Feb of 2011, and the Workbook link is still going to Flag Football. Can we get it fixed? Should just be changing a link. Vulture in okc 09:59, February 25, 2011 (EST)
Yes, I agree; this should have been done by now. There is still no Cub Scout Hiking worksheet here. ( doesn't have one, either.) Admittedly, this promptly fell off my radar once I contacted Milominderbinder2, who has been our worksheets "guru".
NOTE: Any user may create (or improve) any worksheet (in MS Word, OpenOffice, or any other editable format), send it to me and I'll convert it to PDF and upload it here. If you'd like to help out with this, please let me know.
While I usually do not personally make worksheets, I did add this to my personal TO DO list a few days ago, when another user made note of another one still being a problem. —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 11:08, February 25, 2011 (EST)
I found updated versions of this worksheet over on the site on the hiking page. They had both the word and pdf versions. I'll email them to you directly. slmingol 22:42, November 9, 2011 (EST)
Ah, thanks for that... I'll post it, now. —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 14:41, November 10, 2011 (EST)

Pin requirements incorrect

Possible typo: According to the 2010 edition (2nd printing) of the Academics and Sports Program Guide, (I have the hard copy in front of me and have confirmed with BSA that it is the most recent release as of 1st quarter 2011), the Hiking pin requirements are 5 of 11, not 6 of 11. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Symphonitron (talkcontribs) May 4, 2011. This typo still hasn't been corrected. --Nicouds 22:47, July 24, 2012 (EDT)
Oops! (Fixed.) —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 14:52, July 25, 2012 (EDT)

Hiking safety rules

What are the hiking safety rules that the Scout is supposed to explain to his den leader? -Howarthe 03:40, July 21, 2012 (EDT)

Howarthe, that's another good advancement-related question. And, I'm not trying to put you off... seriously; but, again (see: Talk:National Summertime Award#Which pin?) I ask you, please, register at (our forums) and ask your advancement-related questions there. I assure you... you will not be disappointed. Thanks, —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 10:42, July 21, 2012 (EDT)
P.S. I went ahead and added the hiking safety rules (from the Cub Scouts 'Academics & Sports Program Guide', Pub. No. 34299 (2010 Edition, 2nd Printing)).
Thanks, Smith. I really just don't want to be a member of ANOTHER forum, but thanks for adding the safety rules. -Howarthe 17:23, July 23, 2012 (EDT)
