Washington Jamboree

The Washington Jamboree, also known as WashJam, is a scouting event held in Tacoma Washington every three years at the Joint Lewis-McChord military base. No open fires are permitted a this location, so all scouts have to do their cooking in camp stoves or the like.

In 2009, WashJam was held from August 20-23.[1]
2012
In 2012, WashJam was held from August 16-19.[2] Program features included the debut of the new Search & Rescue merit badge and the BSA STEM NOVA Awards program of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. More than 3,000 people registered to attend.
