I have been in Scouting most of my 57 years. Mom was a Den Mother and Dad took over the Troop just before I had my Eagle BOR in 1963. I paid for college by working the water front at summer camp and while there met my future wife. She also comes from a scouting family. Being a high school band director did not give me a lot of time for scouts but I did get back involved in Cub SCouts when my son was ready and it has been constant since. Serving on 3 Jamboree Rappel Staffs, 3 Wood Badge Courses one Powder Horn Course, Natonal Camp School. Now retired I have more time to keep busy with scouting and of course family. I said my wife was from a scouting family 4 Eagles 3 Silver Awards GUSA. My son became an Eagle 30 years after me and we are Both Vigil Honor In the OA. On the weekend I teach Climbing and Rappelling at Laurel Caverns. My Daughter Silver Award GUSA has been a Crew ADV for 3 years. Free Time Whats That?
