About me
I have been in Scouting most of my 57 years. Mom was a Den Mother and Dad took over the Troop just before I had my Eagle BOR in 1963. I paid for college by working the water front at summer camp and while there met my future wife. She also comes from a Scouting family. Being a high school band director did not give me a lot of time for Scouts but I did get back involved in Cub Scouts when my son was ready and it has been constant since. Serving on 3 Jamboree Rappel Staffs, 3 Wood Badge Courses one Powder Horn Course, Natonal Camp School. Now retired, I have more time to keep busy with Scouting and, of course, family. I said my wife was from a Scouting family... 4 Eagles, 3 Silver Awards GSUSA. My son became an Eagle 30 years after me and we are both Vigil Honor In the OA. On the weekend, I teach Climbing and Rappelling at Laurel Caverns. My Daughter is a Silver Award (GUSA) and has been a Crew ADV for 3 years. Free Time? Whats That?
I live in the Laurel Highlands and have great opportunity here for Scouting.

- Laurel Caverns Pa's biggest Mapped Cave. Offers opportunities for Cubs,GUSA ,BSA and Venturing
- I am 2 Hours from Seneca Rocks in WV and 2.5 from the New River and the Gauley in WV.
- Heritage Scout Reservation in Farmington and Eberly Scout Reservation in Bakersville great scout camps.
