A Unit is a Scouting group which is supported by a Chartered Organization.
The names of units in the various programs of the Boy Scouts of America are:
- Pack - Cub Scouting
- Troop - Boy Scouting
- Team - Varsity Scouting
- Crew - Venturing
- Ship - Sea Scouting
- Post - Explorers
- Group - Learning for Life
