Scout Sunday – The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls (on or) preceding February 8 as Scout Sunday. However, a chartered organization or local religious organization may choose to celebrate on another day. E.g., the Presbyterian Church and United Methodist Church designate Scout Sunday as the second Sunday in February.
Scout Sabbath – Is celebrated on the Saturday after February 8th.
Scout week – Is celebrated from Scout Sunday through the Scout Sabbath.

June 30, 1950 – Second National Jamboree, held at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, begins. Ran from June 30-July 6.

July 4, 1911 – The Boy Scouts of America receives the design patent for the First Class badge that symbolizes Scouting in the USA.
July 29, 1907 – Sir Robert Baden-Powell founds the Boy Scouts with the first Scout camp at Brownsea Island. The encampment ran from August 1-9, 1907.
July 30, 1920 – First World Scout Jamboree begins in Olympia, London, England.
