According to Scouting.org: "Junior Assistant Scoutmaster - A troop may have any number of junior assistant Scoutmasters. They are 16- or 17-year-old Scouts who help the senior patrol leader; they are appointed by him, with the Scoutmaster's advice and consent." Where is the documentation that they are appointed by the Scoutmaster, as stated on the page? EagleForumFan 11:36, May 13, 2008 (EDT)

Found it -- According to the New Parent Orientation, he is appointed by the Scoutmaster. This conflicts with what is on Scouting.org. Can someone please look it up in the Scoutmaster Handbook to see which is correct? EagleForumFan 13:08, May 13, 2008 (EDT)
