Purpose

The vast majority of articles/pages within MeritBadgeDotOrg are not protected. However, for various reasons, certain articles/pages are protected by a Bureaucrat or an Administrator (Sysop).

Usage

Depending on template used:

• The most appropriate one of the above message boxes templates should be applied to any article/section that is protected.

• Or, alternatively, and only where preferable, use the appropriate lock (in the upper right-hand corner) template of the article/section.

Notes

• Applying one of the above templates does not protect the article/page – that must be dome separately.
• Only administrators should apply (or remove) a lock.
