NOTICE: Effective June 1, 2010: Youth Protection Training (YPT) is required for ALL registered volunteers.
  • New leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training before they submit their application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
  • Youth Protection Training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection Training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be re-registered.
  • Volunteers who wish to take the online Youth Protection Training Course in the E-Learning module at MyScouting.Org may do so at any time — you do not need a member ID to take this course.
– Once you have registered at MyScouting.Org, click on E-Learning and select Youth Protection Training under the General tab.
– Once you successfully complete the online course, you will receive an electronic, printable certificate of completion.
– When you add your member ID to your Profile, the course completion will be updated for your council.

{{{imagesize}}} Sorry folks, MeritBadge.Net was temporarily down... We exceeded our monthly bandwidth allocation.
We are looking into getting a little extra bump in bandwidth to get us through the end of the month; but, depending on our hosting provider, we may be down until just after midnight this coming Saturday, May 1st, when our bandwidth meter resets.
I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.—RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 17:11, April 29, 2010 (EDT)

Updates coming

The wiki was backed up today... some administrative (MediaWiki) changes are coming soon, i.e., user rights, security, etc.

Call for editors

We'll also be pushing to add new and/or update changed recent BSA requirements information, which tends to be more and more around the beginning of each year. To that end, we will be recruiting additional/new:

  • wiki editors, which can be any BSA-registered adult Scouter and a registered member of MeritBadge.Net.
  • wiki Sysops, which can be any BSA-registered adult Scouter and a registered member of MeritBadge.Net (and meet the requirements for Sysops).

We need your help; so, if you are interested, you can contact me via this link: RWSmith
