On 01 Jun 2015, new requirements went into effect. At this time, Cub Scouts who have earned the Webelos rank as of June 1, 2015 and are moving on to earn the Arrow of Light have two options:

Option 1: He may continue to work out of the previous handbook and complete the Arrow of Light requirements as stated.
Option 2: He may begin using the new Webelos Handbook and the Webelos Den Leader Guide for the Webelos adventures. If he chooses this option:

  • He must complete the four defined required adventures.
  • To satisfy the requirement for three electives, he may use EITHER the new adventure electives OR activity badges earned under the current program but not used to fulfill Webelos rank requirements.
Cub Scout Belt Loops and Pins Worksheets include the maps, charts, diagram, links, and
checklists you need plus cross-references for related Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos requirements!

Worksheets are also available for Webelos Pins and Boy Scout Merit Badges.

Boy Scouts have been using Merit Badge Worksheets for years. Webelos have their Webelos Activity Badge Worksheets. Now worksheets are available for the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program too! Optional worksheets can help Scouts organize notes, listen actively, and document their work. Leaders and parents can quickly see if a Scout is understanding. Worksheets allow group instruction with individual attention.

  • All registered Tiger Cubs, Wolf Cubs, Bear Cubs, and Webelos Scouts can earn optional Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program awards. - Academic and Sports Program, p. 1 & Cub Scout Leader Book, p. 31-1.
  • "Many Webelos Scouts may earn belt loops and pins a second time to qualify for Webelos Activity Badges. All boys may earn belt loops more than once; however, leaders should encourage boys to try different requirements and earn the pin. Packs should have a clear policy in place to determine whether the pack or the boy's family will be responsible for the cost of awards that are earned more than once."
