The Cub Scout Promise is a pledge to help our community, our world, and ourselves. It reads as follows:

I, (name), promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.


Retirement

In October 2012, BSA announced plans to retire the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack. The tentative retirement date is the middle of 2015. This change and others are the result of recommendations of the Strategic Plan Goal 411 Task Force and the Venturing Task Force.
