A Venturing Crew is the standard group for Venturing and is supported by an adult crew committee.

Youth members
The crew's youth are lead by the Crew President and the Crew Officers. Youth members of a crew are 14 years old (and have completed 8th grade) and are not yet 21. The youth gender makeup of a crew is determined by the Crew Code and Bylaws {authored and approved by the youth members) which may be coed (both males and female), all male, or all female. The crew members include:

- Crew Quartermaster
- Crew Historian
- Den Chief
- Activity Chairs (six experience areas)
- Crew members
