Venturing is for young men and women who are 13 and have completed the eighth grade, or be 14 years of age and not yet 21. The year-round program provides positive experiences through exciting and meaningful youth-run activities that help them pursue their special interests, grow by teaching others, and develop leadership skills.

Qualified male Venturers who have achieved First Class as a Boy Scout or a Varsity Scout may earn all Boy Scout awards and Merit Badges until their 18th birthday. |

Scout Sunday – The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls (on or) preceding February 8 as Scout Sunday. However, a chartered organization or local religious organization may choose to celebrate on another day. E.g., the Presbyterian Church and United Methodist Church designate Scout Sunday as the second Sunday in February. Scout Sabbath – Is celebrated on the Saturday after February 8th. Scout week – Is celebrated from Scout Sunday through the Scout Sabbath. February 22, 1857 – Birth of Lord Robert Stephen Baden-Powell, "BP", the founder of Scouting.
